“Eagle Dancer”
Detail Art Wall Hanging The Native American
is one of my all time favorite subjects created in solid maple
hardwood.
I cut and carved him and his breastplate of bone all using maple. Each
individual piece is
carved and rounded, adding watercolor and wood stain to the
clothing and feathers. I named the wall hanging "Eagle Dancer." He's
one of the most handsome pieces I hvae ever created in wood. People
have asked me how I carved leather like that! It is not leather, it is
all
hardwood maple. Back
